Warranty Statement (Product-Only Warranty)

Lafe Stone Sdn. Bhd. (“Lafe Stone”, “we”, “our”) provides a product-only warranty on our sintered stone surfaces. This warranty applies strictly to the material supplied by Lafe Stone and excludes workmanship, fabrication, installation, transportation, handling, and site-related issues.

1. Warranty Coverage (Material Only)

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in the sintered stone material, including:

A. Stain Resistance

Our sintered stone is engineered to be highly stain-resistant.
This warranty covers:

• Stains caused by liquids or substances that penetrate the slab due to factory defects, not surface-level marks.

Examples of covered product defects:

• Pigments or minerals that react internally and cause permanent discoloration

• Inconsistent surface porosity leading to uneven stain absorption

B. Scratch Resistance (Matt Surface Only)

Matt sintered stone is engineered for scratch resistance under normal use.
This warranty covers:

• Deep scratches that occur due to material weakness and not through external force or improper use.

Examples of covered product defects:

• Abnormal soft spots in the slab that scratch with light contact

• Factory surface inconsistency causing uneven hardness

(Note: Scratches caused by knives, sharp tools, sand, or abrasive cleaners due to excessive external forces are not covered.)

C. Heat Resistance

Sintered stone is resistant to high temperatures under standard usage.
This warranty covers:

• Material deformation or discoloration caused by internal structural defects, not misuse.

Examples of covered product defects:

• Localised warping due to uneven internal density

• Burn marks appearing without contact with excessive heat

D. General Manufacturing Defects

This includes:

• Internal structural cracks originating from production

• Abnormal colour fading not related to UV exposure

• Batch inconsistencies beyond industry tolerance

2. Warranty Period

• Residential installations: 10 years (material only)

• Commercial installations: 3 years (material only)

Period starts from invoice date.

3. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

• Workmanship, cutting, fabrication, polishing, installation, transport, or handling

• Cracks, chips, or breakages caused by impact or site movement

• Knife marks, abrasive scratches, or cutting directly on the surface due to excessive external forces

• Chemical damage from strong acids/alkalis, bleach, or solvents

• Surface marks, haze, or daily-use stains that do not penetrate the slab

• Normal colour variation or slight differences from samples

4. Warranty Limitations

• Our responsibility is limited to material replacement only (affected portion).

• Labour, fabrication, transport, reinstallation, plumbing/electrical costs are not included.

• Replacement batch may have slight colour/pattern variations.

• Warranty is non-transferable.

5. Claim Procedure

Provide:

1. Invoice / proof of purchase

2. Clear photos or videos of the issue

3. Description of how the issue was noticed

6. Rights & Changes

Lafe Stone may:

• Inspect and verify the claim

• Replace discontinued items with the nearest equivalent

• Update this warranty without notice
